"Gina"
(1975)
Director: Denys Arcand
Director of Photography: Alain Dostie
Mid '70s French Canadian arthouse blue collar rape revenge drama by Denys Arcand about a stripper (played by Céline Lomez, from "The Silent Partner) sent to dance in a small town and engages with the denizens, including a independent film crew doing a documentary on an exploitative textile plant, the tired and poor workers of the factory, industrialists, and bar owners who are all intrigued by her arrival, juxtaposing her seemingly high wage life compared to the brutalist industrial drudgery of the town. The drama culminates in a gruesome attack and ends with an ingeniously gory snowmobile chase and climax that could have influenced the most bent Coen Brothers outings or Tarantino's splatterfests.
