An homage to classic breezy crime novels, "Pura Vida" follows an ex-pat American - now living in Costa Rica as a stoned-out pool boy - who gets mixed up in the machinations of a greedy Texan land developer, his aging trophy wife, a surf bunny mistress, a deranged Caribbean hitman, and a drug cartel on the rise.
