Classic 70s masterpiece about Max Dembo (Dustin Hoffman) released from prison into a world that will not let him go straight. Great performances from Theresa Russell, Gary Busey, Harry Dean Stanton, Kathy Bates, and M. Emmet Walsh, gritty realistic cinematography, strong characters, and controlled direction. One of Racehorse Pictures' favorites. Don't make 'em like this anymore, unfortunately.
